Professor Stanislav Boldyrev is a theorist working in the fields of plasma physics and astrophysics.
His current projects concentrate on the structure of magnetic plasma turbulence at large and small scales and
its role in the interstellar medium and the solar wind, on the properties of relativistic plasma turbulence
and associated particle heating and acceleration, and turbulent dynamo action and its role in the generation
of magnetic fields in our Galaxy.  Professor Boldyrev received his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1999.
Before joining the faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the
Institute for Theoretical Physics, Santa Barbara (now Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics) and as
a research associate at the University of Chicago.
